Hi, my name is Michaela but you can call me Meeks.
I grew up all around the Bay Area from the East Bay to the Peninsula, constantly influenced by the music I heard. Currently, I am a Communications major at San Jose State aiming to minor in Journalism.
My site will be dedicated to music because of its diverse variety of genres and artists that bring groups of people together through their music and lyricism, always leaving something to discuss and reflect on. With this site, I hope to create an open platform for anyone and everyone to discuss the music we love, and to express how I feel about it myself.
A hope of mine is to be able to write in hip hop journalism as a career in the future and to use my creative skills to visually create the things we feel as we listen to music.
