Festivals and concerts are my favorite events to attend because of the music and the experience. That’s why whenever I attend one, I have to be sure I’m always stylin’.
I wouldn’t call myself a fashion icon, but I do love to dress up whenever I’m granted the opportunity. Whenever I attend a music event specifically, I pay close attention to the outfits people wear because I like to think they put as much thought into it as I have, and appreciate their outfits as I would my own. As music is a medium for artist’s self expression, fashion is one of my ways of expressing myself to the world without having to say much. These are outfits I have worn to previous music events and loved wearing.
Rolling Loud Bay Area 2018, Day 1
Rolling Loud Bay Area 2018 was one of the best experiences of my life. This was my first music festival, so I was incredibly eager to show out with whatever outfit I was going to wear. In this photo, I (left) am wearing a royal blue, zippered crop top, black leggings with royal blue patches on the sides of the legs, my go-to obsidian Nike VaporMax’s, a Supreme fanny pack, and some very cool shades I got at Universal Studio’s City Walk. I chose to wear this outfit because royal blue is my favorite color and I knew to survive the day I would need optimal comfort which my outfit for sure provided. Rolling Loud, being a hip hop festival, I wanted to go for more of the streetwear kind of look but making sure I wore a color or piece that would accent the entire ‘fit; hence the royal blue that, as you can see, is super vibrant in pictures.
Rolling Loud Bay Area 2018, Day 2
This photo was taken on day 2 of Rolling Loud Bay Area, 2018. Here I (far right) am with my friends Rackle and Samantha. If you had saw me walking around that day, I would hope you would have noticed my bright yellow cargo, jogger pants. When I had seen these pants at Forever 21, I knew I had to plan my whole ‘fit around it. As I had mentioned before, I love to have a pop of color to accentuate my outfits. To color coordinate my clothes, I found a haltered tank top with a super cute cross-body design on the back of it. If you can see in the photo, the straps of the tank top itself have a rainbow pattern on them which perfectly coordinated with my yellow pants. You see me again with my Supreme fanny pack that I prefer to wear across my body that was the perfect bag to bring to an event such as this; it was not heavy and it had plenty of pockets to hold my things. As you look down you can see my turquoise Nike Airmax 90’s that coordinated with my white top, and the pop of turquoise perfectly matched the rainbow patterns of the top. My sunglasses, which I purchased from Abella Eyewear, ties my whole colorful outfit together. I actually used to be an ambassador for this brand, and when I wore them I received lots of compliments and questions about where I had got them. The unique shape of the glasses made for stylish wear and definitely saved my eyes from the glaring sun. Lastly, I was very proud of the eyeshadow look I was able to accomplish this day. It is not well-captured in the photo, but I created a rainbow design on my lids that I loved and kept in theme of the whole colorful attire.
